Kapaa-Kelia Bike & Pedestrian Path
The Kapaa-Kealia Bike & Pedestrian Path is approximately 4.3 miles long and consists of an ADA compliant 10-foot to 12-foot wide multi-use path with amenities along the eastern coastline of Kauai from Kapaa to Kealia. The amenities include three bridge structures, one culvert crossing, three comfort stations, six rest pavilions and nine picnic pavilions. Also included were improvements to the Kapaa Lookout point with an ADA accessible path connection to Ke Ala Hele Makalae, landscaping, path information signage and preservation of historic features which added to the County's objective to "provide residents and visitors with an opportunity to experience various types of recreational activities such as swimming, picnicking, jogging, bicycling, surfing, wind surfing, and fishing, as well as enjoying the scenic coastal views."
