Laiopua Water Master Plan
Akinaka & Associates, Ltd. was hired to development a water master plan for the Laiopua area on the island of Hawaii. The project involved the study of an existing water system, analysis of an existing water source/storage, transmission and distribution mains, calculating water demands based on land use/zoning/master planning. It also included the design of three
1.0 MG reservoirs, and the design of 26,045 linear feet of 12" transmission main. The system was dedicated to the Hawaii County Department of Water Supply.
